WASHINGTON (October 24, 2022) - On November 1st, 2022 at 8:30am ET/1:30pm CEST World Resources Institute (WRI) will host a press call to set expectations for a successful outcome at COP27 and preview how leaders can make meaningful progress at the UN climate summit.

WRI experts will provide a call to action for world leaders to meet their commitment to double adaptation finance; make concrete progress toward creating financial arrangements for loss and damage; and show accountability toward their previous climate and nature commitments.

Speakers will discuss how countries, cities and businesses can stand firm with people in vulnerable countries and communities and put the world on track to a better future by offering viable solutions to the food, water and energy crises that countries in Africa and other vulnerable regions are facing.

WHAT

The press call will serve as a curtain raiser – previewing the major themes of the COP27 conference, defining what success might look like, and outlining how leaders can be held accountable for their commitments.
