The Global Stocktake at COP28 will evaluate how much progress has been made in the fight against the climate crisis and what more is needed to accelerate climate action forward. But the world is way off track, and the most vulnerable countries are already disproportionately feeling the consequences.

There will be no true progress on climate action until climate justice and equity become central to international climate negotiations. As negotiators gather at the UNFCCC negotiations in Bonn, Germany in June, the good news is we already know what countries need to do to limit the most dangerous climate impacts on communities everywhere. Negotiators in Bonn have a crucial opportunity to set the stage for COP28.

On Saturday June 10, join members of the Allied for Climate Transformation by 2025 (ACT2025) consortium who will unveil their COP28 Call to Action and lay down the foundations for success at this year’s climate summit. You will hear from leading negotiators and advocates on why a political response that will that rapidly decarbonize all sectors, promote adaptation, scale up climate finance and increase resources to address loss and damage at COP28 is crucial. Experts will also assess whether progress is being made on these topics within the negotiation rooms and what is needed between now and the UN Climate Summit in Dubai to reach an ambitious and just COP28 outcome.

Speakers to be announced soon.
